After working under Larry Forgione, she worked in various restaurants, like Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot in New York France Los Angeles. Then she became the executive chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America in 2007. She took on Cat Cora at the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 and won. In the following years, she has appeared as Judge on the show and, in 2011, competed on The Next Iron Chef season four in which she came in as the third runner-up. Additionally, she participated on Food Network's Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast but fell short.
