Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman has been a gymnast from the US for over ten years. She was a member, and captain, for the US Olympic women's gymnastics team The Fierce Five (2012) as well as the Final Five (2016). Aly Raisman won three gold medals at the 2012 Olympics which took place in London. Additionally, she brought home a bronze on the balance beam. In 2012, she became one of the few American athlete to win the most number of medals during the Olympics. Her gold medal in the Olympics in 2016 was her second consecutive gold medal for the American team. She was, along with fellow teammate Gabby the first Americans to accomplish this achievement. She also won silvers in the individual all around event as well as for floor exercise. Three years have passed since she last competed in gymnastics competitions. Gold medal winner American team also won two World Championships. At the age of 2, she began to learn gymnastics. Her favorite sport is floor exercises. Aly supports the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization in memory of her grandmother who died due to cancer. She is planning to pursue an occupation in fashion and hopes to broaden her leotard line and socks in future. She is writing a book entitled Fierce to be published in the coming months.
